Kanha National Park

Kanha Tiger Reserve, also known as Kanha–Kisli National Park, is one of the tiger reserves of India and the largest national park of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The park hosts Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopard, Sloth Bear, Barasingha, and Dhole. It is also the first tiger reserve in India to officially introduce a mascot, Bhoorsingh the Barasingha.

In the year 1955, the region was declared a National Park. Currently, the administration of the Park is under the Forest Department of Madhya Pradesh. One of the interesting facts about the Park is the flora and fauna of the region inspired the Nobel-laureate author Rudyard Kipling to pen his famous book – The Jungle Book.
